I have chosen to write about smoking facts with no intention to scare anyone but rather to better explain them. These are scientific smoking facts and not a part of any quit smoking campaign.

Basic Smoking Facts

All research since the 50’s prove a direct relationship between smoking and sicknesses as well as other environmental damages. Every drag of cigarette contains around 4,000 poisonous chemicals with 43 of them defined and proven to cause cancer. Despite of the obvious dangers, smokers tend to ignore these smoking facts that lead to hard consequences to their lives and the lives of the people around them. At home, the work place and other places.

Psychological Smoking Facts

It was found that smoking a cigarette activates a self-destructive mechanism in the body within a few seconds. The poisonous chemicals cause the sensation of discomfort and stress while at the same time affect the brain in a way that neutralizes the ability of rational decision making. This fact explains the proven relationship between smoking and car accidents. Smokers are more involved in car accidents than the rest of the population. Consciously or unconsciously the pattern of smoking addiction takes the control away from the smoker and transforms him into “spineless” and dependent. The smoker becomes mentally unstable with tendencies of depression. Physiological smoking facts are scientifically proven and affect the day-to-day ability of every smoker to perform at his best. These are smoking facts – if you admit them or not!

Smoking Facts About Your Health

Smoking is the known cause to some serious health issues. Lung cancer, vision impairs, skin damage and many more. Smoking is also known to affect libido in men and fertility in women. Women who smoke increase their chances of pregnancy complications and unexpected problems or disabilities of their newborn. There are plenty of other smoking facts related to health issues. I am not a doctor and therefore won’t expand on them. But if you do your research you will find just how bad cigarettes are. Knowing the facts can be one of your strongest weapons in your fight against smoking. Training yourself to avoid temptation will be your other.

About Me

My name is Ben Jefferson; I am 39 and father to three beautiful kids. They are also the reason I don’t smoke anymore. I stupidly started as a teenager and continued to smoke heavily ever since. I honestly advise you not to fall victim to any “easy quit” or “quit in 1 hour” systems or products! What will happen is that after a week or two you’ll just end up smoking again. I am a strong believer in quitting cold turkey but using the right tactics for it. Sign up to QuitMonkey if you haven’t done so already and let me assist you with your quitting. This time do it the right way!
