One can no longer ignore the fact that smoking is a major cause of serious health issues related to breathing, heart and lungs. If in the past smoking cigarettes was a fashionable act and everyone would smoke to be part of the group, today cigarettes are no longer “in fashion”. If you want to know how to quit smoking then you probably already agree that there is nothing sexy or attractive about an act that can cause so much damage to your health.

Why Start Smoking?

The first step in learning how to stop smoking is to understand why you even started doing it in the first place. Many people who are smokers today simply started because they wanted to belong to a group. A fashion. Do what other people were doing and be accepted.

Smoking Is Still Sexy Right?

When cigarettes began to enter the US market, the big tobacco companies were faced with a great challenge: How do you market a product that tastes bad, smells bad and is harmful to the consumer’s health. Not an easy task yet I reckon they did a hell of a job at it! Using actors, celebrities and Hollywood stars as role models they managed to some how create a sexy image to the poisonous product. Tens of millions of dollars in advertisement later and smoking was now in fashion. It was the perfect marketing plan. Because the product is so addictive, the multi-billion dollars industry can now keep on cashing in for years and years to come. It’s not sexy anymore but people are already hooked.

How To Stop Smoking? Just Think Like a Non-Smoker

So now we’re in the 21st century. Is smoking still attractive and sexy? No way! Imagine you are a non-smoker. Walk on the street and look at people who smoke – Do they look sexier to you? No. They often look about 7 years older though. They usually don’t smell that nice and if you are a non-smoker kissing them, they don’t taste great either. Old smokers are the easiest to spot – just look at their teeth and skin.

Nowadays smokers are not permitted to smoke anywhere. The glamorous sexy group is now pushed out to the cold when their buddies are nice and warm inside having a beer. All they really want is to know how to stop smoking. But meanwhile, they are still smokers and they will have to go out for that cigarette every time. Please don’t judge me by saying these strong words because I was a smoker myself, all my life. I smoked a pack a day + one additional pack if I was drinking that night. I understand exactly how you feel.

About Me

My name is Taylor Nash and I was a heavy smoker for over 15 years. I learned how to stop smoking from an ex-smoker relative of mine. I am very proud of my new life as a non-smoker and I aim to guide QuitMonkey members to feel the same. If you read the handbook you probably noticed that my methods were a-bit more extreme than the other ex-smokers. But these methods did work for me personally and are still working for many of our members who already quit. I truly hope you take action, join QuitMonkey and allow me to share my experience on how to stop smoking with you.
